Find out about us…
The Children’s Center for the Common Good
The Children’s Center for the Common Good, seeks to bring music to the ears of children that will support faithful listening, singing, playing and compassionate living. We support the goodness that music can relate and we seek to share it with you and your children. We believe the Internet is a mission field that offers the opportunity to find ways to serve the common good, at every age of life.
We come to you out of our Christian tradition and hope that you will find the expansive messages of hope, love, community, peace, kindness, respect and forgiveness embedded in our service of supporting the common good of these shared experiences.
Our ministry exists through volunteer efforts, including the blessings of the advisory board members, and donations. You are welcome to contribute to this ministry of love. We accept no donations from corporations or any advertising. We are an extension ministry of the Upper New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, supported by several grants over four years from ministry teams within the conference. Support also comes from Grand Island Trinity UMC, Grand Island, NY, .
We began our digital ministry to invite children to arts as expression of faith, in 2004, and have evolved to devote ourselves to this Internet radio ministry where faith formation is lived outside the walls of a church building.
Your Donations
We operate on the donations of parents and grandparents like you who want quality programming on the Internet for their children, without the influence of advertising that is aimed at children for purposes of consumerism’s profit. We believe the adults in the child’s life should help them decide what to eat, wear, play and experience. We also have received grants. It is a joy and constant challenge to get creative in ministry. At this time in our history, funds are scarce and the economy is fragile. However, God has said we must respond to a clear call, by bringing what we hope is a gentle reminder that there is goodness around us if we choose to see it. We choose faith. This response is to speak hope into a world that prayerfully, needs it. Thank you for joining us in this simple journey.
We know you like the programming on Common Good Radio. You are listening all over the planet! Thanks for listening in the in over 60 countries. There is more fabulous programming on the way speaking hope into a world that needs it, coming soon. You can help. Please pray for this project and ministry. If you are led to make a donation, you may send us a check or use PayPal on our homepage.
